Values: It is a good day to be happy

 What is happiness?

It seems like an odd question, but is it?
Do you know how to define happiness?
Do you think happiness is the same thing to you as it is to others?

Happiness is the state of feeling or showing pleasure or contentment.
Happiness does have a pretty important role in our lives, and it can have a huge impact on the way we live our lives.
However, this definition is not the end-all, be-all definition of happiness.

What makes you happy?

👇👇

What’s so great about happiness, anyway?

Happy people get sick less often and experience fewer symptoms when they do get sick.
Happy people have more friends and a better support system.
Happy people are more helpful and more likely to volunteer.
Happy people have a positive influence on others and encourage them to seek happiness as well, which can act as reinforcement.
Happy people smile more, which is beneficial to your health.
Happy people are more productive and more creative.

What makes you happy?
There are too many reasons to be happy...
Let´s think and draw them!

Arts & Crafts

Agamograph art

What is an agamograph? It is a series of images that change at different angles.

Here's an example:

What you need to do this fun piece of art:
  • Template (some options below or feel free to look for them online and print them- If you can't print them, you can trace them from your computer into your paper)
  • Coloured pencils, markers or crayons.
  • Scissors
  • Ruler

Instructions:
  1. Print the template you like.
  2. Cut out the white borders.
  3. Colour each picture. It may be easier to fold the agamograph first since it can look a bit confusing.
  4. To fold: use the accordion technique, folding side to side all the way to the end.
  5. Finally, gently unfold it and you're done!

Here's a quick video from Easy Peasy and Fun showing you the step-by-step:

The link below contains a folder with different templates for you to choose from:

Our bones and muscles

Today will learn about bones and muscles. Humans have got 206 bones inside our bodies. All our bones together form the skeleton.

Our muscles are connected to the skeleton. Bones are rigid and hard. Muscles contract and relax. Together, muscles and bones allow us to move.

Nota: En caso de no disponer del libro con los stickers, las etiquetas de la actividad dos se pueden unir con los dibujos de la actividad 3.
