Reproductive system

Our reproductive system allows us to have babies.
Different animals have different types of reproductive systems.

Some animals reproduce by laying eggs. These are oviparous like birds or reptiles.

Some others reproduce by giving birth to young ones. These are viviparouslike most mammals.

Humans are viviparous animals because babies grow inside their mother's uterus
When the baby is inside the uterus we call it a fetus
The mother gives nutrients to the fetus through a tube called umbilical cord.
Gestation is the time a fetus spends inside the uterus.
Finally, after 9 months of gestation, the fetus is ready to go out and  the mother gives birth to a baby.

Values: Me behind the mask...

Let´s talk about wearing MASKS!

Wearing masks is becoming the accepted norm for everyday when out and about to help stem the spread of COVID-19.

BE SAVE
And that includes the mandatory use of facial masks whenever we go out of the house.
Good thing...there’s a fun way to see this facial masks!

This exercise that we are going to do is great if you want to explore yourself - understand yourself, your identity, and find different aspects of yourself.

First, listen to the following story: "Lucy´s mask" by Lisa Sirkis Thompson.

👇👇

PART 2

LET´S MAKE A MASK SELF-PORTRAIT!

Materials:

- White paper
- Markers,crayons,colour pencil,etc.

Now that you are ready, here are the steps!

👇👇

IMPORTANT:
👇👇

1. MY MASK...
Decorate the outside of the mask, representing who you wanna be, how do you want that the world sees you.

2. ME BEHIND THE MASK...
Decorate the inside of the mask, representing how you see yourself (the inner you), what do you like about yourself and what make you UNIQUE.

There is no wrong way to do this.

And there are many ways to use masks, not just to keep us safe.
It is an opportunity to explore identity and also to explore feelings, fears or strengths, resilience...

Using a mask is perfect way to explore the different aspects of ourselves!
