One of the most important skills we practice is 
self-regulation. 

We talked about how to be conscious of our thoughts, feelings and behaviours. 
When we're able to identify how we are feeling, we can use strategies to help us work through them.

1. Listen to "My Magic breath book" read aloud. 

The book discusses ways that you can discover peace through the magic of mindful breathing.


The illustrations are fantastic and show how we can calm our minds when we are mad, happy, excited, or sad through our magic breath!

2. ART PROJECT
Let's create our own magic breath painting! 

After listening to the story, you are going to need the following materials for our art project:

* White paper

*Watercolors,markers,color pencils, crayons, etc.

*glitter or glitter glue (optional)

Step 1:

Close your eyes and take a MAGIC breath. 
Think in different colors and lines to represent your own magic breath. 

FREE Mindful Breathing Posters- Includes 3 posters to help students practice mindfulness through deep breathing.

Step 2:


Draw the lines and colors on the white page using your materials!

Step 3:

You can hang your magic breath paint in your bedroom to remind you that you have the POWER to calm your own mind with your magic breath!
