Arts & Crafts

 Recycled Cardboard TV

This craft is super fun because you will have the chance to get super creative and make your very own story!

You will need:

  • Cereal box
  • Glue, tape
  • Clear plastic (preferably hard)
  • 2 paper towel rolls
  • Rubber bands
  • White and coloured paper
  • Coloured markers or pencils

Let's get started!
Step 1: Gently flatten your box to open one of the glued sides. If the box is not glued on the sides, cut it. But be careful not to break them because you will have to glue them back later.
Step 2: Cut 2 holes the size of the paper roll on each side and cut a rectangle (that will be your TV screen) on the front. If you have clear plastic, paste it over the cut-out rectangle on the inside of the box.
Step 3: Add 3 rubber bands to one of the paper tubes and slide them both through the holes. Make sure the one with the rubber bands goes on top.
Step 4: Now using a long piece of paper draw your story! (you can stick some pages together, make sure it is long enough to go around both paper tubes)
Step 5: Roll the paper through the tube and secure with tape.
Step 6: Now you can either glue the box back together or simply secure it with tape to make it easier to change the paper with a different story whenever you want to.
Step 7: And for a final touch, you can decorate the TV as you want, sticking coloured papers and making the buttons.

I hope you enjoyed doing this craft, I can't wait to see your amazing stories!
