Dancing puppets!
Let's make animal dancing puppets!
You will need:
- Paper rolls or plastic cups
- Paint, markers or coloured paper
- Glue
- Yarn
- Scissors
- Popsicle sticks (can be replaced with pencils)
- Beads, bottle caps (optional)
Instructions:
- Grab a paper roll or plastic cup and paint it with the colour of the animal you want. If you don't have paint, you can colour it with markers or cover it with coloured paper.
- Punch 4 holes on the bottom of the body to make the legs. (You can carefully do this with the tip of a pencil)
- Now, use one piece of yarn for the 2 front legs and another one for the back legs. You can tie beads or bottle caps to the ends for the feet.
- On the opposite side of the paper roll, punch 2 holes (one on each end)
- Using another paper roll, make the head of the animal you want (you can cut it in half and use the other half for the ears).
- Punch one hole in the head.
- And thread a long piece of yarn through the upper body and head (like the pictures below)
- Finally, tie the other end of the threads to a popsicle stick, to be able to move your puppet! If you don't have popsicle sticks you can just use pencils.
These are 2 videos that show you step by step how to do the puppet:
